By plane: Both Puerto Escondido and Huatulco Airports are the same distance from Mazunte (50 min. approx.). From the airport you can either take an airport cab, an urban taxi or a bus from the main road.

By car via Acapulco: Leaving Mexico City by highway to Acapulco (carretera del Sol), take route 200 to Pinotepa Nacional before entering Acapulco and stay on it (7 hours aprox) until the crossroads to Mazunte.
By car via Oaxaca: Leaving Mexico City, take the highway to Veracruz, then the junction to Oaxaca City once in Oaxaca City look for the road to San Pedro Pochutla (route 175). Once in Pochutla go towards Puerto Escondido by route 200 (do not follow the signs to Puerto Angel, it is a longer way to get to Mazunte). You will find the crossroads to Mazunte at about 25 km.
ALWAYS TAKE A MAP WHEN YOU ARE TRAVELING BY CAR, CONSULT IT REGULARLY.

By bus: Mexico city - Pochutla via Acapulco Mexico city - Pochutla via Oaxaca:
*IMPORTANT* Ask for the bus that takes the toll road to Oaxaca City.

If you choose to travel by bus, do it by night in order to get to Pochutla at day light so it will be easier and safer for you to get to El Copal.
